How to Create a Computer Virus

This article is about how to create a test virus. This is not a joke. But why will you create a virus, most likely for testing your anti-virus or for fun. Always remember that this is only a test file and doesn't harm your computer at any cost^[1]. This file was developed by EICAR (European Institute of Computer Antivirus Research)^[2]. So here's a step by step procedure.

NOTE: THIS CODE ONLY CREATES A VIRUS TO TEST YOUR ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE. IT IS NOT HARMFUL TO YOUR COMPUTER, IT IS ONLY INTENDED TO TEST YOUR ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE.

Steps

   Open a notepad (New Text Document.TXT).

   Copy the following code exactly onto it, and save the notepad.

   Rename the file from New Text Document.txt to myfile.com.

   Scan that file with your anti-virus. You'll find that that is a virus.
